Meet Pat Schiller
Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
I bring to the PMHNP role, 38 years experience as a registered nurse, including a broad background in critical care, medical- surgical, oncology, occupational medicine and wellness.

I firmly believe mental, spiritual and physical health are inextricably intertwined, and I recognize the necessity of offering patients individualized, respectful care heedful of those connections.

As a long-time resident of the area, it's been a privilege to have served our communities in different capacities over the years. My husband and I raise English mastiffs and anticipate that soon some of our ‘gentle giants’ will be ready to join us in the community as volunteers, and if a patient desires, to contribute to the practice as therapy dogs.

Areas of Practice
Can you help me? What can I expect?
Domains of Care
Psychiatric Evaluation
To facilitate an accurate assessment, expect to invest 30 minutes or more in collecting information about your history and current symptoms prior to arriving for our first meeting. When we meet, we'll then spend 60-90 minutes reviewing and clarifying, gathering more information, and discussing your situation.
When medication is indicated as a tool of treatment, I'll present information about standard of care, the likelihood of side effects and if they occur how they might be managed, and answer your questions. Then we'll collaborate regarding the options.
Supportive Psychotherapy
As a prescriber, my primary practice focus is medication management, but when indicated in conjunction with medication, and dependent upon a patient's needs, I can provide brief therapy or assist with referral.
